Behind the Scenes with the Gonzales Family

Michelle Gonzales, 26, Michael Gonzales, 27, Ayden Gonzales, 1 1/2.

Mike is employed by the electric company working on powerlines. When your power gets cut off because of a storm or maybe because you had to have those new pair of shoes instead of paying your light bill, he's the guy who's doing it. From house fires to car accidents envolving lines down and snapped poles, he's just about seen it all.

I, Michelle am unemployed at the moment. My time is spent being a full time mom and wife. That is a full time job in itself. I'm still attending college and will be transferring to a new school this Spring.

Ayden Gonzales is almost 2 now and spends most of his time babbling. He's mastered how to kick a soccer ball, swing a bat and golf club and loves books. He's entering his terrible two tantrum stage and we are calmly trying to keep that monster at bay....

Last but certainly not least, Hobbs, our orange tabby cat. Hobbs spends his time licking himself and aggrivating the hell out of us but we love him anyway. The vet says he's Geriatric which is the long version of "He's old."

I grew up in Pinellas Park, FL and moved to Charlotte, NC when I was 20. Mike grew up in Dobson, NC and moved to the Charlotte area when he was 20. We met at Jackson's Java which was a few doors down from where I was working at a drug store.
